Imagine being paid for just taking random surveys or just doing random little tasks online. This concept wasn't new to me when I first heard of Inbox Dollars. I've heard of online survey companies a few years ago, and even tried my hand at a few of them.

Long story short, I had a bad experience. I would take surveys for hours, only to make a few cents in earnings. Not even a dollar. The worst part was, they had a threshold on payouts so to even cash out my earnings meant I needed to spend at least 10 more hours on the platform. With a potential payout of a measly $10 for hours and hours of work, it just wasn't worth it to me.

Then, a few weeks ago, somebody recommended Inbox Dollars saying it's a much better platform, and I'd have a better experience with it than in the past with others.

Curious, I decided to give it a try. Here's my full review of Inbox Dollars.

What Is Inbox Dollars?

Basically, Inbox Dollars recruits people onto their platform to take surveys, and participate in online tasks such as watching videos, playing arcade games, printing coupons, searching the web, etc.

Companies pay Inbox Dollars for this data, and they in turn share that revenue with users like you.

How Much Can You Make?

You won't get rich from Inbox Dollars. You won't make enough to quit your full-time job or anything.

However, it's a neat way to make a side income while you're just watching TV in the background, or just bored at home.

What Is The Average Payout Per Task Completed On Inbox Dollars? The average payout is around $1. Some tasks will pay ou as little as $0.10 and some tasks will pay you up to $5. The payout amount depends on the size of the task and how long it takes you. Based on the tasks I've seen, your hourly rate will come out to anywhere between $1/hour to $5/hour, depending on the number of tasks you complete. That's not great but you have to look at it from the perspective of: Your usual hourly rate from just lounging around the house and browsing the web is usually $0/hour so it does beat that!

Get Started With A $5 Bonus

You can get started with Inbox Dollars and get a free $5 in your account. That's their incentive to get people to try out the platform. Remember though that you need to get at least $30 earned in order to take out that money. So the $5 is just a start, you need to actually put in hours of work afterwards in order to reach their minimum threshold.

Receiving the $5 in your account is extremely easy. Just sign up using this link, and then confirm your email address after you make your account. After that, you'll get $5 credited immediately to your account.

What Type Of Tasks Can You Do For Money?

The most common task is completing surveys. Companies want data from their customers and from the general public. You're basically participating in their market research for a small amount of money.

The other tasks available range from couponing, trying out games, and even watching videos. That's right, you can watch videos and make money! Again, it won't be a lot of money, but at least it's better than $0.

Then there are the tasks that require you to “become a customer”. For instance, if you sign up to DoorDash, you'll get $5 added to your account. If you download a mobile app, you could get up to $5 in your account. These are all free offers that you just have to sign up for or install. Not too hard.

And last but not least, there are even paid offers on the platform – meaning… you have to spend money to earn money. It's like a cash back program. Some companies will incentivize you to buy stuff you would normally buy somewhere else, and they'll credit a few dollars back to your Inbox Dollars account.

When Can I Withdraw My Earnings?

Unlike a lot of the other less reputable platforms I've tried in the past, Inbox Dollars actually does make it possible to collect your earnings. Their payout threshold is only $30, compared to $100+ on other platforms.

You have the option to choose how you want to receive the funds.

You can choose between: check (through mail), a gift card (like Amazon gift card), or a payout through PayPal if you have an account.

Who Should Sign Up For Inbox Dollars?

If you're looking for a way to earn some extra bucks every month (ranging between $50-$100 if you do it consistently) and you don't mind doing a bunch of tasks, then Inbox Dollars is for you.

If you're comfortable with doing some simple tasks while you watch TV in the background, this could be a comfortable way to earn some extra cash.

Is Inbox Dollars A Scam?

No, based on their fair pay per task and lower payout threshold, Inbox Dollars is a legitimate company.

There are many companies out there doing similar things, who basically make it impossible for you to withdraw your earnings, either by hiding the fact that their payout threshold is super high, and by only paying pennies per task at the same time.
