The first thing you need to do is locate your order. For the online receipt, it should be located in the “My Purchases” section of your account. You can also use the app to find it quickly.

Select the order and print it

Once you locate your order, you will need to select it. The barcode should be located on the bottom of the page. Then, simply print out the receipt and bring it to any Macy's store.

Provide your proof of purchase

Once you arrive at the store, you will need to provide proof of purchase for your return. You can do this by providing the receipt that was printed out in the first place..

Macy’s Options to Get Your Free Returns

In order to hand over your returns, there are two main methods to complete it. Whichever you use will depend on certain factors, such as the location as to where you first bought the items. Here are the two ways of returning your items:

By mail

This method is permitted only for items that you purchased online. You must also include all the items listed on your return label in the corresponding package. If you have multiple return labels, put each item in a separate package. Attach the correct return label to each package in order that your refund is made immediately.

By store

Items which you purchased in a store must be returned to that store. Items that you purchase online can be returned by mail or to a store. Either way, you should always make sure to bring the original receipt.

If you don't have the receipt, don't panic. You should give them your credit card number, your registry number, your return label, packing slip, and order confirmation email in order that they can search for your information. Additionally, as of today, they are not yet able to accept returns using the curbside method.
